Collaborations

Our washi is handmade Japanese paper, made to order, and each sheet carries its own name — Kumo, Umi, Nohara and Hana Mame among them. Washi is formed from long plant fibres rather than pulped wood, which is why it takes light the way it does: the sheet glows rather than sitting flat, and shows its fibres when lit from behind. Several are finished on both sides, for screens and dividers read from either face.
