Hemslöjdsföreningen Konstfliten was founded in Gothenburg on 15 February 1906 by Reinhold Callmander, Sigfrid Ericson, Ragnar Hamberg, Hans Hedlund, Ernst Torulf and Waldemar Zachrisson, as the handicraft association for Gothenburg and Bohus county.
It is the same association later known as Bohusslöjd: the name became Bohusslöjd-Konstfliten in the 1940s and was shortened afterwards. The two names are therefore useful for dating rather than being separate makers - a piece marked Konstfliten belongs to the association's earlier decades, one marked Bohusslöjd to its later ones. The association wove rölakan and other flatweaves in its own workshops until it closed in 2010.
